When does the rush wear off? Because when i pirate, Im having such a fantastic time. Ive been doing this for maybe a month now, and the rush is still as good as when i started. Hunting for someone, never knowing what you'll find... and then finding a couple of ships in the belt and thinking "what the hell, lets see if I make it" and start the attack. Its a truly great way to play eve.
So what do you guys say.... when do the rush wear off? Does it ever? And do you need to risk more and more iskies after a while to feel the same way?
I always ransom, and so far everybody have payed it. Every single one.

Just keep hanging it out on a limb and the rush will never go away.
For instance me and a corpmate supafly almost took down two battlecruisers, a Cyclone and Ferox in a belt using only two t1 cruisers was all going fine until a Raven had to warp in and bombard us with Cruise Missles
............My arbitrator got the Ferox before I went down though....YARRR!!!
Yeah, i love stuff like that too. I do all my pirating in a t1 cruiser myself. And tomorrow i will have t2 guns on it..... YARR!!
Thanks to everybody posting in this thread. I very much agree with everybody so far. --- The Eve Wiki Community Portal | Eve Tribune |

Why pirate in game if they can pirate on the forums? I'm sure someone has at some point extorted a ransom by menacing forum post
Dont underestimate making your name known in the game. Verone gets 8 pages in the next issue of EON for example. This doesnt happen to just some random speachless pirate out there that lets his guns do all the talking. Everybody from Veto posting in these forums is getting a personality attached to their name, and its not a bad thing.
There are too many people not posting anyway... in any given thread, its rare to see more than 10% of readers write something. Just post and have fun. The forums are a part of the game as I see it.

But the rush(es) kind'a disappear every quickly when you snipe an ibis and you destroy 6 talisman implants...
On the whole its all good.

Some of you guys in Pirate Coalition tried to snipe my Rupture too. But despite using 2 battleships, my good old ruppie came through alive and well. Needed a new paintjob though.

Originally by: Hakar Khan I am a new player (nine days old) thought I would try my hand at piracy. After specifically training up in every skill I would need to make what people suggested would be a good pvp punisher setup, I got kitted up and trotted off to the nearest .4 system.
I warped around the belts a few times looking for a nice cruiser or indy without success.
Eventually I came across a rifter about 30 k away in one of the belts. I quickly examined him, 6 days old, hmmmmm wtf!! now im targetted and warp scrambled!!!. A quick poke of the after burners, full speed ahead, and I have him Scrambled too and my Nos engaged. At this point his shield is almost at 100% and he is eating into my armour eeek!!!!!. Into action the Armour repair unit goes and my guns start to eat into his shields. Two minutes later, his ship goes pop.
What a rush though!!!, my blood was pumping and I was physically shaking from the experiance for a good five minutes afterwards. After a quick chat, it turned out that it was the rifter pilots first time at pvp too, really nice bloke, gratz to him for a great experience :)
Welcome to the addiction of piracy. And minnie ships too. Damn, all the right moves so far...
Like this thread shows, you will want more and more challenges with time, but the rush never really goes away completely.
See you in low sec.

Piracy is nothing like beating a small child or a puppy? Dont know what you are talking about...maybe you are ganking newbies in Jita and confusing it with piracy. --- The Eve Wiki Community Portal | Eve Tribune |

And in all the time you been playing you havent even joined a corp, do you have any friends online or is this some sort of pirate alt?
Im kind of busy with RL right now to be honest, but im planning to get back into things as soon as the dust settles here... I dont want to be in a corp if I cant play often.. no point in that. I was in a corp back in 2003 when i tried Eve for the first time, and Im fully aware of how addictive the game becomes once you join a corp and start getting in-game friends. Scary tbh. :)
So for now, I just browse the forums during the free time I have. --- Eve Wiki | Eve Tribune | Eve Pirate |
